House to Home Project
About us
House To Home Project is student-led community service initiative dedicated to improving the living conditions and dignity of underprivileged residents in Seoul. Partnering with the Gil-dong District Community Center, local merchants, and volunteers, we work to repair homes, provide nutritious meals, and build a stronger, more inclusive community.
Our journey began with a simple belief: everyone deserves a safe home and a warm meal. Many low-income households face unsafe living environments due to neglected repairs or rising costs, while others struggle with food insecurity. By combining grassroots fundraising, hands-on renovation, and meal distribution, we aim to bridge these gaps and bring real change to our neighborhoods.
•Home Repair & Renovation: We restore dignity in housing by repairing walls, fixing doors, addressing mold issues, and installing essential facilities like sinks and locks.
•Food & Nutrition Support: We coordinate donations, prepare meals, and distribute food to low-income families and seniors, especially during extreme weather.
•Community Partnerships: We collaborate with district social welfare staff to protect rental residents from displacement, and with local merchants to source ingredients and resources.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
– Margaret Mead
